In Chinese the main means of grammatical meaning is the order of word and function words. The number of Chinese vocabulary is very big. Relative to the content words, the number of function words is less. However, it is not only difficult for students to grasp but also a easy part of making errors. In Chinese conjunctions are an important part of Chinese function words. They are the smooth connection between words, phrases, clauses,sentences and paragraphs which make it become a coherent entity. And it plays an important role. In modern Chinese the number of conjunction words is small, but it use in high range and frequently. The characteristics and function are so complex that foreign students is easy to make errors.At present, there are some scholars who have carried on research about the error analysis of Chinese conjunction but the research about the errors which are made by native English speakers is not enough. Thus this article focuses on the native speakers of English, takes corpus which is collected in HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus. It analyzes the types and causes of errors which are made by learners during the process of learning and using conjunctions.According to the logic semantic relation, Chinese conjunction can be divided into the Coordinate Conjunction and the Modifier-core Conjunction. After search for the level of HSK vocabulary table, according to the classification standard of conjunctions the author determined the conjunction which is studied in this paper. And then on condition that nationality, I searched HSK dynamic composition corpus to collect the corpus. Based on theory of error analysis doctrine, inter-language theory contrastive analysis doctrine and analysis of the errors and data, this paper divided the errors which made by native English speakers in the process of Chinese conjunction into four types: conjunction default, multipurpose conjunction, conjunction misdirection and conjunction disordering. The number of errors which are caused by conjunction misdirection is largest, accounting for 37% of the total number of errors. The number of conjunction dislocation is smallest, accounting for 2% of the total number of errors. From the point of view of classification of conjunctions, Coordinate Conjunction errors is more than Modifier-core Conjunction and the number is 60, accounting for 57.7% of the total number of errors.Finally according to the analysis result of errors’ data and concrete analysis of incorrect corpus, the author concludes the causes of errors which made by English native students and put forward the corresponding teaching countermeasures.
