The mobile phone animation, as a new form of media, combines the advantages of mobile media and the animation that gives a strong expressive force; it also shows a unique charisma in the environment of new media. For the great promise of the mobile phone animation, most people focus on technique,service and media rather than the artistic aspect of the mobile phone animation. Though the mobile phone animation and traditional animation all belong to the category of animation, however as an emerging form of animation, the mobile phone animation integrates the advantages of mobile media with the artistic features of animation itself. The form of its medium has been changed as well, which causes differences in aesthetical standard, creation method and content structure. The mobile phone animation not only opens up a new propagating path for the animation art but also for reasons we list above, it becomes to a unique art form. The mobile animation art goes beyond the survival mode of traditional art. It converts its draw-backs, such as less cell traffic and limited memory, to a specific feature, which represents a new aesthetic value and art. form. Researches that based on the art form of mobile phone animation will increase and improve the creation activities of the mobile phone art in real life.At the beginning of this essay, I will describe basic concepts of the mobile animation to give a clear introduction of my essay. Secondly, I will analyze the tendency of the mobile animation’s users, which will help readers to have understanding information about the aesthetic features of mobile animation. Then through the comparison of non-mobile animation with mobile animation, I will explain and discuses the mobile animation from different aspects, such as manifestation, transmission, appreciation and contents of the mobile animation. At the end of the essay, a conclusion of the application of the mobile animation will be given, as well as the future expects to the developments of mobile animation from my point of view.
