From India to China, the filial piety o f Buddhism is miscellaneous and changeable. It is hardness to summarize those statements. The author tries to use a perspective about filial piety. There are three realms about filial piety: show concern to parents on daily life; do good deeds to others with kindness; the extrication o f Buddha to everybody. The author analyzes the Confucianism and Buddhism to discuss. It is able to find an upward trend in its progressive layers, and to show the odds o f the filial piety o f Buddhism. The first realm is based on the filial piety o f Confucianism about showing concern to parents on daily life. There are three points on it. First, we should support parents with homage. Second, we should listen to the father’s exhortations. Third, we broken-hearted while our parents passed away. The second realm is based on the first realm. It is more concerned about our morals. There are there words about it: don’t do evil; do good things; have mercy spirit. And it is better to absorb the Confucian virtue theory. The last realm is the extrication o f Buddha to everybody. There is a view that everyone has been our parents. The highest realm is doing practice about Buddha. We must have a strong desire to extricate, and serve the peoples heart and soul without selfhood, and extricate to practice.
