Family business war dramas are very popular from the end of the 1990s.There were some masterworks that take delight in talking about.Such as At the Threshold of an Era,The Grand Mansion Gate,which make a new record of audience ratings at the time.The mature and development of this kind of dramas can't do without TV people in Hong Kong and the Mainland of China. Hong Kong dramas which are regarded as one part of Chinese dramas were ignored by theorists for so long. In this paper I will put Hong Kong dramas in this scope of research and based on the works between Hong Kong dramas and Chinese dramas in the 1990s. It's the first time to define Family Business War Dramas and tell the differences of development history between them.I also researched from different ways,such as theme,Character set, characterization and narrative features to find the different artistic characteristics between them. In addition, I am trying to discover the reasons why they have had the differences and analysis each state of existence and the value of existence. In this passage I am also trying to find out the important influence which made on this kind of dramas by both cultural transmission and exchange.
