An Investigation On The Use Of Cross - Border Minority Languages ​​in Zhaoluo Port Of Xishuangbanna

The situation concerning the cross-border ethnic language use is one of theobjects that the actual use of national language life monitors. Due to the reason ofnational boundaries, regional and other issues, the situation of cross-border ethniclanguage use shows its unique features. Especially in areas of border trade port, thesituation of cross-border ethnic language use deserves much attention. Therefore,deep researches into the cross-border ethnic language in the border trade port ofSipsongpanna contribute to deepening the whole cognition and scientific grasp aboutthe cross-border ethnic language. Moreover, the researches provide usefulinformation for systematic studies into cross-border language.Based on bilingualism (multilingualism) and diglossia (multidiglossia),researches in this thesis mainly depend on the elements of language use, of whichsituation, object, attitude, competence and other factors are taken into accountcomprehensively. Under the guidance of sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, ecologyof language and social psychology, this thesis makes researches into the cross-borderethnic language use situation in Daluo by questionnaires, interviews and others ways.The thesis is totally divided into four parts except Introduction and Conclusion. PartOne introduces general information about geography, population, nationality andlanguage of cross-border ethnic groups in Daluo, which aims at understanding andexploring the cross-border ethnic language use situation in a better way. Part Twomakes studies into the situation of cross-border ethnic language and words use inDaluo, mainly from the aspect of daily-life language use and public language use.The situation of language and words use is perceived from daily-life writing, schoolstudies, SMS writing, name writing and other respects. Part Three is the body of thisthesis, in which it puts emphasis on the analysis of characteristics of cross-borderethnic language use in Daluo, along with its causes. Part Four discusses the state ofcross-border ethnic language resources in Daluo. In this chapter, the Daluo languageresources are divided into social, economic and cultural ones. It analyzes features ofDaluo language resources and the existential problems in this chapter. Meanwhile,practical countermeasures for language resources development are put forward.
