The purpose of this paper is to analysis the psychological emotion point of the claustrophobic space theme in art, the full text is divided into three parts. The first is the overview, to classify claustrophobic space into the narrow claustrophobic space and the generalized claustrophobic space, to analyze its characteristics and emotional attributes from two aspects, The second part through analysis the structure of the Nazi buildings on behalf of the narrow claustrophobic space and the buildings of courtyard in Shanxi Province on behalf of the generalized claustrophobic space, and the feeling when the people live in the buildings, and the relationship between the structure and the feeling, to discuss the artistic expression of claustrophobic space in the real life。 In the third part through the reference of Giorgio de Chirico’s paintings and the installation of Gregor schneider and Alice aycock on claustrophobic space to explore the deep emotion the claustrophobic space brings the viewer in the works of art.
