As an outcome of higher education popularization, third-tier college is now a newly-developed school-running mode. By means of investigation towards the training mode of music major in Nanjing Normal University Taizhou College, this paper is presenting the training system and content of application-oriented normal music major in third-tier college, in terms of teaching philosophy, course arrangement, teaching content, assessment and evaluation system etc. By analyzing and exploring the particularity of the training mode of application-oriented normal music major in third-tier college, we have come to the conclusion that third-tier college is more diversified in school-running mode and more application-oriented in musical talents cultivation.At the same time, there are also some shortcomings of the training mode of normal music major in third-tier college, such as the limitation of student resource,the instability of development model and some degree of dependency upon the state-run mother university.Combining the status and trend of third-tier college development with those of the middle and primary school musical education development, this paper puts forward reasonable proposal and vision on the development of the future application-oriented music major in third-tier college, which is necessarily adhering to the development concept of the combination between system innovation and inherited feature,localization and diversification, accomplishing continuous innovation in practice and gradual improvement in renewal. |
