Diabetic autonomic neuropathy(DAN) is one of the chronic complications of diabetic nervous system. Because of dysfunction of the sweat gland dominating by the nervous system and aberration of temperature regulation, many DAN patients clinically presents a series symptoms of dysfunction of decanting sweat, such as, sweating increased when tired or nervous, chest, neck, head or other specific parts sweating abnormal, or sweating when sleeping. But modern medicine lacks effective treatment measures. The main treatment is taking oral drugs that can repair nervous. Severe cases can choose surgical treatment, which is difficult to solve the patients’ distress and inconvenience caused by excessive sweating.Abnormal sweating caused by DAN assigned as “Xiaoke” and “sweat syndrome”. The Chinese medicine has a more profound understanding and prominent effect. According to traditional Chinese medicine, diabetic consume vital substance of viscera, and viscera lacks recuperative medical care, then lead to abnormal sweating, on which ancient and modern doctors have carried many cumbersome and jumbled research. Li Xiaojuan, my teacher, has devoted to endocrine clinic for 20 years, and she has original views on diabetic combined with sweating. Professor Li overviews the ancient and modern classics,medical records of masters, combined with her many years of clinical experience, then she applies “Harmonizing Ying and Wei qi” 、 “Resolving phlegm and blood stasis ” to the treatment of Xiaoke and its complication, which is effective in treatment. I am so lucky to learn with my dear teacher, which has benefits me a great deal. Now I just summarize her experience of treating diabetic combined with sweating, so that, from which, doctors can benefit.
