Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy (CSR) is due to a variety of factors that cause degenerative cervical intervertebral discs hyperostosis,loosening of articular capsules and ligaments,semi-subluxation of zygapophyseal joints,leading to extraction and compression of nerve roots pass clinical symptoms syndrome to neck shoulder pain with radiation of pain to the upper limbs, numbness as the main manifestations. CSR is often due to injury, exposure to coldness and fatigue.CSR has the highest mobility of cervical spondylosis in a type, often occur in the middle-aged and the old. With the transformation of life and working style, the incidence rate of CSR is increasing, which has a rising trend at a younger age and becomes professionalization,seriously affecting the quality of life of vast people.At present, mainly in the treatment of this disease Integrative conservative therapy,such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,muscle relaxants agents,local injection with steroids or epidural steroids injection administered under C-arm fluoroscopic guidance using either an interlaminar or transforaminal approach,laser irradiation,IF ultrasound physical therapy with internal and external medicine,acupuncture,acupotomy,massage,chiropractic and so on. The above treatment achieved significant clinical efficacy for the majority of patients to accept.For CSR patients with refractory,surgical decompression should be taken in reasonable way to treat personal physical condition.Through Rotation manipulation,can correct the turbulence and semi-subluxation of facet joints,change the position relation between the nerve root and the herniated intervertebral discs,hyperplastic bones,so as to relieve compression and irritation of nerve root.Acupotomy by decompressing the local musculi colli, relieving tension and spasms of local muscle,reduce the compression effect of musculi colli on the herniated intervertebral discs,relive the pressure of cervical intervertebral discs,so as to alleviate so as to relieve compression and irritation of the herniated cervical intervertebral discs on nerve roots.Combining the above two techniques can relieve pain,improve symptoms and physical signs.ObjectiveObservation on the curative effect with Rotation manipulation in the traditional Chinese medicine combining acupotomy in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy,and with the simple use of acupotomy comparing the curative effect of treatment of the disease, to explore the technique of Rotation manipulation combining acupotomy in the treatment of CSR.MethodsCollecting cervical spondylotic radiculopathy patients 60cases that are diagnosis criteria and inclusion criteria compliant from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Orthopedic clinic were randomly divided into observation group and control group 30 cases each.The observation group with Rotation technique combined acupotomy, the control group only by acupotomy therapy,treatment for three weeks. And before the treatment,treatment after 1 week,2 weeks,3 weeks to observe,record comprehensive score and VAS score.Through the statistical analysis,to compare two kinds of therapy in the treatment of CSR differences in clinical effect.Results(1) Compared with before, the observation group and control group patients after 1 week, 2 weeks,3 weeks comprehensive score and VAS score treatment had significant difference (P <0.05).(2) through the SNK test, the average comprehensive score of observation group before treatment<1 week after treatment<2 weeks later after<3 weeks after the treatment.(3) through the SNK test, the average VAS score before treatment>1week after treatment>2 weeks> 3 weeks=2weeks after all the treatment.(4) The comprehensive score distribution between two groups of comparison is not normal, the nonparametric test, P (after 1 week)=0.0169 (two-side), P(2 weeks)=0.0003 (two-side), P(3 weeks)=0.0001 (two-side), after 1 week,2 weeks,3weeks after treatment, the differences of the comprehensive score between the two groups are statistically significant, and the 3 therapeutic time the average comprehensive score in observation group> control group.(5)The distribution of the VAS score between the two groups is not normal, the nonparametric test, P (after 1 week)=0.0065(two-side), P (2 weeks)=0.0001 (two-side), P (3 weeks)= 0.0214(two-side), after 1,2,and 3 weeks after treatment, the differences of the VAS score between the two groups are statistically significant, and 1,2 and 3 weeks after treatment to observe VAS score on average<control group(6) To evaluate the clinical effect between the two groups after treatment, the X2 test, X2 =2.9665, P=0.0850>0.05, the differences between two groups are not statistically significant. But the observation group was significantly higher than the control group in cure rate of symptoms and signs. (16.7%). The evaluation of the effect of subjective pain between the two groups, the X2 test, X2=2.77, P=0.25>0.05, the differences between two groups are not statistically significant.Conclusion(1) Compared with before, the observation group and control group patients after 1 week, 2 weeks,3 weeks comprehensive score and VAS score treatment had significant difference (P < 0.05).The result shows that the observation group can improve symptoms faster than the control group.(2) To evaluate the clinical effect and the effect of subjective pain between the two groups after treatment, the differences between two groups are not statistically significant.The result shows that the effect of short-term follow-up of the observation group and the control group is equal..
