Objectives:Study for using Ti – Star implant system implanted inside of patient at different period, which will affect success ratio of surgery of non-submerged implant.Materials and Methods:The subjects of study are 9 patients in total, four men and five ladies whose age are within 30-70, searched from Apr. 2009 to Apr. 2010. None of them has any whole body’s systemic or medial historyAll patients’ edentulous position is at mandibular posterior area, so they ask for implantation restoration. The surgical procedure is under local infiltration anesthesia, choosing alveolar ridge, operating middle incision, cutting mucoperichondrium, and then flapping buccal. Using Ti- Star surgical kit to drill bone step by step and then implanting the Ti-Star implant system. It takes about 8-14 months for healing and 18 months for follow-up and observation. The upper prosthetics is single crown or fixed bridge.Result:Upper prosthetics of all implants have been finished. There are no infection, looseness, shed or obvious bone resorption during observation period.Conclusion:Non-submerged implant of Ti-Star implant system has micro-thread design that increase initial stability, reduce efficiently bone loss, own excellent clinical application and have best initial stability. The square thread of implant body decrease validly lateral force of bone, increase osseointegration, and raise success ratio of non-submerged operation.
