Data acquisition is an important branch of information technology, and is the foundation of modern measurement technology with sensor, signal processing and computer technology. It studies information data acquisition, data storing, data processing and information control and so on. It has been widely used in the field of measuring, testing and monitoring, controlling, diagnosing, scientific experiment and so forth. With the widely application of data acquisition systems, main specifications such as sampling rate, resolution, precision, voltage range, controlling mode and ability of anti-jamming etc. are stricter. The solution scheme, constitution and characteristics of data acquisition system are described detailedly in the thesis. A universal multi-channels data acquisition system is designed based on the singlechip MSP430F149 of TI Company as a core. Multi-channels data can be tested and monitored real time by wireless communication, and can be acquired quickly by USB interface. The acquisition system is composed of many basic modules such as sensor, signal processing, data acquisition hardware, computer and software etc. The hardware of system is designed by modularization and opening for satisfying the system requires. The system can achieve 8 channels input of analog quantities, 8 channels input or output of digital quantities and calendar. The system is composed of microcomputer, calendar chip, programmable gain amplifier, LCD, large memory, USB and wireless chip etc. Data acquisition rate can reach 200 KHz with the resolution of 12 bit. The data acquisition system can collect and record the data for a long time used by dry battery, and make the time collection with the condition of no monitoring with the calendar chip. The acquisition data can be transmitted to PC by wireless communication or USB. The application software of PC based on the most powerful C++Builder Integrated development environment provides convenience for the operation with curves and number of multi-channels analog or digital quantities display as well as memory function. The data acquisition system is smaller in size and plug and play. So it is suitable for working in the lab, or field operation for data acquisition, wave-form analysis and processing.
