As the core equipments of modern industrial production, Trouble of Mechanical and Electric Equipments(MEE) will result in a great loss.Status Monitor and Fault Diagnose system(SMFD system) for MEE can do on-line monitoring job of the equipments' running status and then fault diagnosis over the equipments which can ensure them work safely and reliably. But As the structure of SMFD system is very complex. We have to spend long period and lots of energy to develop itFurthermore, people need good computer programming skills and deeply understanding of fault diagnosis field to design such system.Based on government supported 863 project of intelligent embedded system aimed to Mechanical & Electric instruments Status Monitor and Fault Diagnose, According to the running characteristic of MEE, on the basis of studying common SMFD system,This dissertation persents an abstract model of SMFD system and divides sofeware module based on this model.And the dissertation also presents some protocols and communicating scheme of the modules.The other jobs of the dissertation are designing and realizing fault diagnosis related components, distill the configurable information of the components, then form the components based platform of SMFD system forMEE.we called it Embedded SmartDiagnose Platform(ESDP).Finally,by using Eclipse, the developing environment of SMFD system platform was realized.The environment provides four developing mode: Applicaiton software developing mode, Kernel software developing,component library developing and template application developing mode. Based on platform management and expansion scheme the environment provides the unified management of the platform and expansion support.Users will find they can customize and create applicaiton software suitable for target system and the actual requirment of fault diagnosis easily by simply using the developing environment's graphical wizards.Hence this will reduce the developing cost of SMFD System greatly.The last chart of this dissertation will show how to use the developing environment to creat the software of SMFD system for pump equipment.It can be said that the related work of this dissertation exploit new idea of fault diagnosis field,and promote the fault diagnosis industry's progress.But there are still some shortages such as the components of ESDP are not enough ,the platform can not provide widely supporting.So, we should enhance the cooperation of cross subjects,then the job of constructing such platform will have more meaning and the platform will be more suitable for the request of practical diagnosis.The research job of this dissertation is supported by government supported 863 project of intelligent embedded system aimed to Mechanical & Electric instruments Status Monitor and Fault Diagnose(2002AAlZ2308), here I shall express my thanks.
