The Research And Implementation Of Agent Integrating Development Environment Based On The Eclipse Platform

Now days, the research of Multi-Agent system becomes more and more active in distributed artificial intelligence field. Much more researchers pay attention to the Agent-Oriented software engineering methodology. There are some agent development tools such as ZEUS, Aglets, ABLE and etc. However, because of the lack of integrating tool and methodology about Agent-Oriented programming, it is difficult to integrate analysis, design and implementation process. Based on the Open Source Tool Platform – Eclipse, an Agent-Oriented Integration Development Environment, in which the APL (Agent Pattern Language) is integrated, is designed and implemented. As follows is the main works in this paperPresenting the Agent-Oriented Analysis Model Framework after analyzing and comparing the existed Agent-Oriented Methodology which can be used to direct the Agent-Oriented analysis and design and make the solid ground for the subsequence design of APL.Deeply studying the architecture of Eclipse and related tools. Analyzing the source code of PDE plugin, JDT plugin and GEF plugin in detail. Applying the knowledge we get from the process of source code analysis to our Agent Integration Development Tool on Eclipse platform and achieving our goalsDesigning and implementing a graphical Integrating Development Environment for APL.Above all, a prototype of Enterprise Integration-Oriented Agent Development Platform system, which is open, flexible and to some extent intelligent, is implemented. We believe these works will provide the reliable, convenient and flexible tool for the reconstruct of the enterprise legacy system and the dynamic alliance of enterprise under the indefinite environment.
