Taking account of the upgrade of "Guangsha Civil Engineering CAD System" developed by T he a rchitectural design and research institute of Guangdong Province as well as the project "new protocols for Guangsha Civil Engineering CAD" supported by S cience F oundation of Guangdong Province, we studied the dynamic analysis in Guangsha Civil Engineering CAD. Our result "Program for dynamic analysis of multi-storey and tall buildings" (SDY) is included in "Guangsha Civil Engineering CAD System".In this paper, we firstly summarized the theories about aseismatic design and the developments of civil engineering CAD, pointing out the functions and necessity of dynamic analysis in the civil engineering design. Secondly, we gave our viewpoints on how to improve the civil engineering CAD in current China, and the objectives of our study as well.In the second chapter, we discussed the dynamic analysis and design using the method "Newmark-P", based on the move equilibrant formal from a model for buildings in earthquake. We especially addressed in detail the selection of relevant parameters in "Newmark-β".In the third chapter, the results from the second chapter were applied to the civil engineering CAD, That's realization of the pre- and after-process in the Program for dynamic analysis. The customers may put in the detail parameters of dynamic analysis and select earthquake-wave to carry out calculation through the pre- process window. The graph and text results will be put out through the after-process window. The fourth chapter showed the applications of dynamic analysis SDY in two real projects. Our research result will be applied directly in aseismatic calculation of civil engineering, optimizing the performance of civil engineering CAD. Meanwhile, it also provides a basis for the development of the algorithm for the anti-seismic design to better the civil engineering.
