As a non-linear intelligent control technique, fuzzy control is widely used in noise and vibration control. But fuzzy control strategy owns some disadvantages, such as large stable state error and poor adaptive ability. In order to solve these problems, fuzzy self-modified control strategies are proposed in this paper. To a two-stage vibration isolation system for simulated marine diesels, simulation and experimental investigation of fuzzy vibration active control are made.In this paper, the internal relationship between the conventional fuzzy controller and PID controller is analyzed. The parameter self-modified fuzzy controllers are put forward by integrating superiorities of these two kinds of design methods, including PID parameter self-modified fuzzy controller, scaling factors self-modified fuzzy controller and fuzzy rules self-modified controller with modifiable factors. These three kinds of controller can modify the PID parameters, the scaling factors and the fuzzy rules on-line separately with the change of the dynamic performance of the system, making those parameters reach optimum and helping to control the system accurately. Better performances can be attained.Utilizing the parameter self-modified fuzzy control strategy, investigation of active control simulation for vertical vibration of the two-stage isolation system is made. The results verify that the three kinds of strategy are effective to periodic signal, diesel engine vibration signal and random signal. It can be seen from the simulation results that the fuzzy rules self-modified controller with modifiable factors is the best one since it optimizes the core of fuzzy controller-fuzzy rules.PID parameters fuzzy self-modified active vibration control experiments to the two-stage isolation system for diesel engine are conducted in this paper. Experimental results show that this control strategy can optimize the PID parameters on-line, good vibration reduction can be attained. So this strategy is correct and effective.
