With the demand of the consumers who are not satisfied with communication systems which can simply supply voice service.the study of third generation mobile communication systems becomes a hotspot nowadays and channel codeing is a key technology.In this paper,an in-depth analysis on the channel coding and multiplexing of WCDMA is presented on the base of 3GPP physical protocol firstly.Then a feasible method of decoding and demultiplexing is proposed and a simulation of channel coding and multiplexing and decoding and demultiplexing for uplink based on Simulink of MATLAB is implemented in this paper.Here are several key tcchnologys,such as convolutional coding and decoding.Turbo coding and decoding,interleaving and deinterleaving,ratematching and dcratematching.In the simulation model,channel is modeled for three types namely ideal channel,additive white Gaussian noise channel ,multi-path Rayleigh fading channel.For different channel,the technology of channel coding and multiplexing is discussed in this paper.Moreover,error rate plot is presented.Finally.the technology of channel coding and multiplexing for uplink of WCDMA is programed with standard C using Tl TMS320VC5509 DSP and the result is compared with the simulation in this papcr,thc conclusion is that the method is feasible.
