WCDMA technique which is considered to be the most promising candidate for the next generation mobile radio system has received increasing attention in communication field. It makes the GSM network which has been extensively applicated in CHINA can degenerated into the Third Mobile Radio System. After briefly introducing the channel coding procession in WCDMA system, this paper indicates a new type of channel coding method-Turbo code. And the basic principles of coding and decoding of Turbo Codes are discussed, the MAP and Max-Log-MAP algorithms which are suitable for the Turbo Code are detailedly discussed. Then, because the interleaves technology has important influence in radio channel, the article provides the detailed scheme of implementation in WCDMA system. Besides providing a series of simulation illuminates the influence of interleave-length to the Turbo-code performance.Finally,a simulation of channel coding and multiplexing for uplink based on Simulink of MATLAB is implemented in this paper.
