Distributed OLAP (On-Line Analysis and Processing) is an important and hot research point in recent years. For the financial management, it is very effective to realize the distributive budget workout and forecast using the distribution OLAP processings, because it influences the enterprise's cash flow. But it is difficult to workout the exact budget with reason. There are a few civil enterprises that use OLAP with highly efficiency in budget workout and analysis. In this paper, the budget control function is effectively implemented by the distribution On-Line Analysis and Processing of financial management in the oil industry. In addition to it, compared with the actual and budget of the past years in the multi-dimensions, the development and planning of the enterprise are more exactly forcasted, the cost is controlled under the plan and the treasure flow floats more smoothly.This paper adopts two OLAP products having the different storage structures. One is based on the multi-dimension database; the other is based on the relation database. They have different characteristic, so we use the hybrid model in the actual implementation that mixes they up, and set up a unified security entrance platform to realize the security access of the data.OLAP is based on OLTP data; the data is two dimension and plane. To realize the real time decision making and management of the branches in headquarter, abstract the branches data points to the headquarters' cubic data warehouse hierarchies, thus the branches in different sites can be looked as the logic hierarchies and the management of the branches can be concentred, it is presented as one site dummy financial management pattern.After more than 2 years implementation and research on two kinds of distribution OLAP—OFA (MOLAP) 和Discoverer (ROLAP) products, we constructed the model in the multi-dimension OLAP, defined kinds of calculation formulas, developed kinds of analysis reports for different financial guidelines and also adopted the Web Agent to release the multi-dimension report in Portal. For ROLAP application, the performance was optimized by the way of the distributiondatabase partitions and the material view replication. Utilize the application server that is up to the J2EE standard to set up Portal and realize the Single Sign On security mechanism. All the implementation of the above techniques let the users of different level and different sites can log on to the system conveniently and search the needed information thus improve their work efficiency.It is discovered that in practice On-Line Analysis and Processing, Data Warehouse and Data Mining are very important in the enterprisem management. All the exhibitions of the results coming from the information system will not be done without these techniques. At the same time, the implementation of these techniques should be expanded tier-by-tier and step-by-step. The further work is to integrate the strong points of MOLAP and ROLAP and adopt the grid technique of distribution, solve the problems of current problems of distribution OLAP, using the algorithms of data mining and set up a whole decision-making support system with OLAP, data warehouse and data mining.
