Along with the blooming of Internet technology, "Participatory Journalism" has already raised her veil to the public. The traditional broadcast way (Top-down news) of news and information reporting is transforming to "Intercast" (Bottom-up news), the impact of this transformation to the traditional news media is overwhelming. The Participatory Journalism we are about to discuss in this article roots from computer-aid-information-processing and based on two concepts: appearance, which mean whatever never appear, and influence, whatever comes from computer-aid-information-processing.This article conducts researches of participatory journalism in following chapters: First chapter, discusses the uprising of participatory journalism and the changing roles of the informers, medias and the audiences; Second chapter, mainly discuss what's behind participatory journalism—society and individual psychology; Third chapter, taking blog, wiki and podpast for examples, introduces and discusses how participatory journalism practices; Fourth chapter, which is the chapter of this whole article emphasized on, discusses how participatory journalism challenges the traditional news constitution and why participatory journalism can potentially benefit traditional news medias. In this chapter, we also try to develop some viewpoints on how our traditional news medias could develops itself by actively interacting with new media.
