When it comes to media economy, lots of academic achievement can be found. Profiting .from so much significant accumulation from all over the world, this article first anatomizes the basic theory of media economics, the landscape of media industry, the related opinions about media economics, and finally the representative school on the research of media economy. The emphasis of this article is placed in the second half, which focuses on Chinese media economy. We analyze the history and the present situation of Chinese media economy, especially, the whole circumstance of Chinese media industry. By using the successful experience of the developed countries for reference, we hope, and do try our best to build up a new theory system on Chinese media economy. Eventually, we put this new framework into use, to let the research go deep into the landscape of Chinese media industry and Chinese media economy, and to reach the final target: bringing forward the macro strategic strong points and supporting governmental policies.
