The Design And Realization Of The Embedded Linux Application Platform For Financial & Fiscal Terminal Product

In the Post-PC era,along with the advancement of the embedded system technology, linux system is being used widely and it will be a direction on the platform development. At the same time, in the information construction of financial and fiscal industy, it has changed to be the need of financial&fiscal terminal product from the need of PC, such as POS(Point of Sale) and ATM(Auto Teller Machine) which its core is the embedded system. So,with the drive of technology and market,to integrate enterprise resource and reduce the cost of product, the work of research and manufacture financial&fiscal terminal product is necessary and significative.The paper introduces the study and practice in the fields of application platform, embedded linux and GUI(graphisc user interface) during the period of my working at master thesis.Through combining the task of "863" program, According to the system and modularization design thought, based on the actual state analysis about the development and application on financial&fiscal terminal product, the paper proposes an intact embedded linux application platform which we called Rabbit-Linux, including the discussion on realization of hardware and software.Firstly,the paper introduces the design of hardware, including the minimum system and other functional module, which based on the PXA255 microprocessor with ARM core.Secondly, it gives a detailed discussion of the Rabbit-Linux software platform, including kernel, filesystem,cross development tool-chain and so on, in which, the mostly discussed is the bootloader for it is the key and the basis to the application platform.The paper analyzes device driver such as multi-serial port,smartcard and Flash. After discussing Microwindows and the problem of Chinese input,we design a basic graphics application library aimed at low-end financial&fiscal terminal product and a embedded GUI aimed at high-end financial&fiscal terminal product.Finally, this paper discusses the design and the implementation of the financial&fiscal POS based on Rabbit-Linux,which is groundwork for the future work. With the increase of demand, there is a widely market of the application platform.
