The paper mainly discusses the basic Topology architecture of the Broad-Band Intelligent Residence District and the software design of the whole architecture. The network topological architecture adopts the 100M-boundwidth Ethernet technology, which is based on the 3 layers switch. And the terminal equipment is the Intelligent Residence gateway, the communication mode of which is based on the TCP/IP protocol , the application layer use the SGMP(Smart Gateway Management Protocol ). The integral software architecture is based on the standard of J2EE1.3, combines with the mvc design framework of the Spring, and uses the Dependence Injection design model to make the system can be sacleable. The design of the system adopts the O-R (Object Oriented ) Mapping framework Hibernate which is open source to solve the differences between Object Oriented and database.The integral system follows the layered principle, and plotted into 6 layers, which are Domain Model Layer, Persistence Layer, Service Layer, Hardware Device Proxy Layer, Presentation Layer and Smart Client Layer. The Domain Model layer mainly corresponds to the object of the system database, and wraps the business logical operation in it. The Persistence Layer mainly supplies the CRUD interface which related to the database to the objects in the Domain Model. The Service Layer offers the service interface which connecting to the outside, and the wrap of service hierarchy. The hardware equipments layer implement the communication protocol—SGMP with the intelligent gateway equipments in the residence, and accomplish the application of interface of the service layer. The Presentation layer offers the operation interface with the accordant style to users. The Smart Client Layer offers the real-time control platform so that the system can respond to the alarm and the fault notification. The relationship between each Layer depends on the value of Type2 in the Dependence Injection to connect. The way of configuration is described by XML.
