Broad-Band Based District Intelligent System

With the wide application of computer technology and rapid development of real estate, the expectations of people to house's functionality, comfortableness and security are getting more and more. The requirement for intelligent house thus arises.The intelligent house system (IHS) is the combination of actual houses and current technologies of computer, communication and control. By intelligent management, IHS can link all security devices, information equipments and household appliances in the house to form intact intelligent system though networks. Furthermore, a comprehensive open district management system (ODMS) can be built by further interconnecting IHS to the administrative management system of district property (PMIS). The intelligent house has already become the mainstream of dwelling construction in 21st century.In this paper, a practical implementation of ODMS is presented by analyzing the intelligent house's characteristics and current domestic and international situation of intelligent house development. At the same time, detailed analysis and design of IHS and PMIS are emphatically carried out, based on our scientificresearch project-SOHO City Famous Garden network monitoring system andproperty MIS system.In order to build an intact' intelligent district, analysis of various technologies of broadband access network is firstly performed, and Ethernet is adopted as its solution. In the design of IHS, main efforts are emphatically concentrated on specific communication implementations based on intelligentfamily controller-E-home gateway. Research on NAT and implementation ofcommunication protocol are also carried out.In the design of PMIS, functionalities of its overall modules are analyzed using OOA and OOD techniques. And the database for PMIS is analyzed and designed using PowerDesigner development tool.In the last part of this paper, research on both network security of ODMS and several solutions to it is conducted. And we then presented a practicalimplementation of security system for ODMS by adopting several useful technologies such as firewall.
