The individualization and diversification requirements make the market from comparatively stable to dynamic and changeful, accelerating the response speed of the market has become the main goal of the modem manufacturing. To adapt to new market environment, the modern manufacturing must integrate person, technology, information, management and organization to improve own market competition. Workshop production is an organic component of a manufacture system. The level improvement of the scheduling has become a decisive factor that assures managing course high-efficiently operate in modern manufacturing. Under this environment, combining multi-Agent technology in distributed artificial intelligence, applying multi-Agent technology to solve production scheduling in modern manufacturing environment. The main results of this paper are as follows:1. Systematically analyzed the communication and interaction mechanismamong Agents in multi-Agent systems, on this base, designed the Agent communication conceptual model, so that to explain communication mechanism among Agents.2. In order to improve the execution efficiency of scheduling system, presenteda message report mechanism, which can resolve management difficulty caused by enormous resource and dynamic change of scheduling system, on this base, a kind of hierarchical architecture of MASS has designed.3. Aimed to Agents function require of scheduling system, designed a uniformAgent reference architecture model.4. The task scheduling has been compartmentalized task partition, taskassignment and result integration of sub tasks, maturity of result integration information is assured by message report mechanism.
