Presently the universally used software is used in the publication of yellowpages for data extract, standard verification, data consulting, Ads and contractmanagement and yellow page composing. But the publishing of yellow pagesneeds the coordination of lots of designing staff, so it is necessary for thesharing of data information among the staff. This article is aimed at solvingthe problem through C/S network structure software.This system adopts Client/Server system structure and TCP/IP Protocol,using Delphi as the development tool, adopting Oracle database system. Theserver and terminal realizes inter-linking with data centre and the real-timeextract of local 97data and the distributional management of the functionsthrough the DCN network.The master server adopts IBM RS600 micro-computer, using AIX 5Loperational system, and installed with ORACLE database system. Thememory system adopts DS6000 series of fiber-optic disk array box of IBM,using 10 pieces of 36G high-speed fiber hard disk with 15000rounds asRIAD5 in order to guarantee the safety of the data and the access speed of thedisk. In addition, prepare 1-2 pieces hard disks with the same model as thehot recovery of the hard disk, which is used for auto recovery of the datawhen the hard disk is invalid. Due to the restriction of the disk space of themaster computer and the consideration of the expansion of the disk, the localdisk is installed with only operational system. The table space is installed inthe outer memory of DS6000. The backup system adopts LTO tape pool ofIBM. LTO tape pool uses the most advanced light memory technology, whichhas high performance and can guarantee the integrity of the data.As this system adopts C/S structure, there are large amount of data exchangebetween the server and the terminal customers, while the band between thenetwork centre and the cities and regions is only 512K, so the band width ofthe network becomes a bottle-neck during the large amount of dataconsultation and revision. This system adopts the terminal servicetechnology of Microsoft, and the companies engaging in number books ineach city and region use the terminal customer program to log in the terminalserver of the network centre for the operation of the software and the input ofthe data. The terminal technology uses TCP/IP network protocol for thetransmission of the information about keyboard, mouse and display etc.,which needs only very low bandwidth. In addition, in consideration of thecomplexity of the installation, upgrading and maintenance of the software ofthe terminals, the advantages for using terminal service is becoming moreand more obvious. The companies in charge of telephone numbers need notinstall any software but WINDOWS operational system and give theconfiguration for the terminals. Furthermore, during the upgrading of thesystem, everything will be ok by upgrading the software in the terminalserver, which has decreased the maintenance of the system to the minimumextent. The terminal service can use 128-digit data enciphering technology toguarantee the safety of the system. This system has realized the management and maintenance of the tables and system bases related to the Ads sales and staff during the production process of the telephone books; realized the double-direction interface with 97 project business system, guaranteeing the accuracy and accordance of the data; realized the standardization management of the collected data and input them into the database of the yellow pages. This system has guaranteed the integrity of the yellow page database, has supported the business of telephone number books, has realized the consultation, addition, deletion and revision of the data in the yellow page database, has realized the change of the data in the yellow pages, historical information consultation and proofreading of enterprise and public institutions database, has realized the Ads contract management, Ads procedure management, Art design management, Ads accounting management and all kinds of data collection; has realized the issued data organization, printing, canceling, urging and statistics during the issuing process of the telephone number books; has realized the whole process of the generation of all kinds of number books, input, intellectual proofreading of the number books and all kinds of sequencing etc.; has realized the data collection of working volume, Ads sales volume and total volume of all kinds of the journal styles of the number books; and has realized the issuing and dispatching treatment after the publication of the number books and so on.Although the common appliers of this system have a certain experience in theindustry of telephone number books, they are not familiar with the operationof the computers, and know little about systems.
