The Design And Implementation Of Workflow Engine And Model

With the development of workflow technology and appearance of international standard, the workflow products have been widely used in all kinds of fields, which make the business process more clear and easy to customize. This paper presents the design and implementation of workflow engine and model based on J2EE architecture in the re-development platform of lightweight workflow. In the part of re-development platform's model, this paper adopts the interface standard brought forward by Workflow Management Coalition, and increases or reduces the elements in the process model to meet the requirements of enterprise based on the practical application. Meanwhile, the part of model uses the graphical interface, which makes the model of application easier to use and achieves the automatic generation of process template file and relevant data class file. During the design process of workflow engine, first, the transformation rule set of process instance and activity instance, described by operational semantic, is introduced. Because of operation semantic character of formalization and rigidity, it makes the design and implementation more clearly, more precise and gets a unified process pattern about the implementation of workflow engine through the construction of abstract machine of process instance and activity instance.
