Nowadays, Grid becomes an important information technology in the world, which aims to realize high performance resource sharing or cooperation and eliminate information and Resource Island. The Grid not merely offers the environment of utilizing the strong computer to solve the enormous challenge problem, but also a kind of foundation which organizes the remote resource and equipment distributed in all parts into a united whole. OGSA (Open Grid Services Architecture) that is called the next generation Grid architecture is a distributed architecture frame on the base of Grid Service. OGSA gives emphasis to location transparency and multiple protocol bindings for service instances, supports integration with underlying native platform facilities. The birth of OGSA indicates that Grid is not only used in scientific computing area, but also used to provide wide, fundamental network environmental support to commercial applications. So more convenient information sharing and interaction are implemented. An ideal grid service should be similar to present Web service. It builds on hardware and software platform at present, offers the totally transparent computing environment to user. At present, grid service technology is still at the stage of studying generally, some technologis have already entered into the developing stage. Firstly the basic content and running mechanism of OGSA are described in detail and the OGSA service-oriented model is analyzed in the thesis. Secondly the realization of the grid service interface and operating mechanism of OGSA are analyzed, which includes the mechanism of Factory, Lifecycle, Handle Map, Service Data, Notification, etc. Thirdly the key component of the grid service based on the Globus Toolkit is analyzed. Through the elaboration of every component's principle, the thesis analyzed the key technology of the OGSA thoroughly. Finally, a Grid environment that is in a simple management region is constructed by the Globus Toolkit platform. The mechanism and the method of the implementation are introduced from all aspects. In addition, an OGSA application prototype system is developed which implemented resource sharing of computing resource, storage resource and data resource. It also demonstrates feasibility and superiority of OGSA in integration.
