The Design And Empirical Study Of The Framework Of The Utilization Of Medical Quality Information

Hospital information construction is the key to realizing the modernization of hospital management and improving medical service quality. The current hospital information systems are mainly used for on line transaction process (OLTP) and dealing with daily work data, which lead to the accumulation of the enormous history data. The managers in hospitals are not satisfied with the simple utilization of medical flow ( query , maintenance, etc), and hope to gather and analyze the enormous data in hospital and mine the internal relationship so as to support the decision-making. Data warehouse provides effective technology and methods for us. We can extract and analyze the data within HIS according to the different purposes so as to gain useful information.This paper is focused on the problems of comprehensive utilization of the medical quality data in HIS. First, we have designed the framework of the utilization of medical quality information based on hospital information system and construct dimensions, fact, granularity, multi-dimensional data model by using data warehouse technology. Then, according to the demand of medical quality management and clinical practice, we have selected the indicators of workload, expenditure and diseases in hospitals in one military distinct and analyzed them based on literature and consultation. Multi-dimensional conceptual view is built by using Brioquery program including drill-up ,drill-down, slice. Thus, the statistic report forms which are focused on workload, expenditure and disease are constructed . At last, we comprehensively evaluate the medial quality using RSR.The research makes use of hospital management theories, information techniques and statistics to design the framework of the utilization of medical quality information with the purpose of the advance of hospital which provides a platform of the utilization of information for medical quality management and supports the decision-making, management-controlling, consultation. Thus managers in hospitals can make use of the platform to meet different management requirements. This paper constructs statistical report forms and query relatedmedical quality management with the help of data-warehouse on the base of the utilization of medical quality information at present. It has a good effect on quality analysis in the empirical study and shows applied value. This paper adopts comprehensive evaluation and offers the detailed analysis of medical quality information in a quick and convenient way so that it provides reference for the evaluation of many hospitals.
