Application Research On Ontology In Domain Knowledge Management

Nowadays, knowledge management has become a key technique to increase intelligence of technology,competition,business and strategy in an enterprise or organization. Generally speaking,knowledge management is a set of particular management activity of an enterprise, which considers the enterprise knowledge as the asset by advanced information and communication technique and offers a new approach to realize knowledge shared by enterprises. The goal of knowledge management is to quickly search right knowledge presented by right formula in right time by right people,and to help people solve the problems met in the practice. According to traditional knowledge management pattern, the information lacks a uniform semantic description. It is hard for users to find more relevant information resources and realize the information semantic fusion. How to assign the managed information resources an understandable meaning in an applied program to facilitate users to find what they really need, and to realize the information semantic fusion according to the domain knowledge of information resources, are challenging tasks for knowledge management. Aiming at above problems, this dissertation adopts knowledge management technology of ontology driving to manage domain knowledge. The ontological theories and methods have been studied roundly in the dissertation on the basis of a large number of documents and web pages. Systematically expounding and comparing 7 building ontology approaches, a new approach to building domain ontology---Cycle Evolution is proposed. This dissertation designs two important ontologies (literature fame ontology and semantic dictionary ontology) by Cycle Evolution and analyzes the semantic relativity of semantic dictionary ontology. Finally, this dissertation analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of five ordinary tools of building ontology. And Literature knowledge ontology is built with Protégé2000. Through knowledge management technology of ontology driving, literature searching is able to realize inquiring from character level to semantic level in application.
