Research And Implementation Of J2EE-based Universal Web Instruction Evaluation System

With the development of Internet, the web instruction becomes a kind of important teaching mode increasingly. Comparing with tradition teaching, the evaluation of the web instruction is very imperfect. Most of e-learning system or virtual campus platform have no evaluating function, or have evaluating module in which the evaluating model is often simple and solidified and dead only against the requirement of itself, so they have bad maintainability and reusability. Therefore, it has great significance of practicability and applied value to research how to design and build a universal e-learning evaluation system which can be applied to all kind of requirements.The article fixing on the reusability emphasized two arithmetic: AHP arithmetic and BPNN arithmetic, introduced their principle, the feasibility of be used in the teaching evaluation fields, the improvement of the arithmetic and the process of realization. Moreover, we discussed the Web services technique, which provided the possibility to realizing the data exchange between two isomerous systems and the way to carrying successfully out the joint between the e-learning evaluation system and the different kind of e-learning platform.On the base of those, the writer designed and implemented a universal e-learning evaluation system whose primary criterion based on J2EE and Struts frame. The system aims at e-learning evaluation, at the same time, gives consideration to tradition instruction evaluation. It combines process evaluation with finality evaluation, can come into being effective evaluation and pay attention to real time feedback for the teaching process at the same time to ameliorate it. The system offers the function of customizing the evaluation models and the mechanism of checking up the evaluation models, and which makes users customize conveniently and effectively the evaluation models fitting to their requirement.The design of system adopts multi-tier web application structure. Web tier is realized by JSP and Servlet, business logic tier uses EJB to complete the computation and data-operations client requests. Permanence tier uses DAO to store and load data. In the process of design, the system makes use of all kinds of design patterns to optimizing performance and predigesting the complexity of design and improving reusability.
