| In the article, a new micro-strip antenna array, which is called Weighted Corner-fed Micro-strip Antenna Array, is analyzed, and the patch shapes include square-rhombus and pentagon. In order to reduce the level of antenna side-lobe, two different methods of weighting current are used in E, H planes. In H plane, to the square-rhombus array, the input impedances of antenna units are changed by adjusting the junction widths of the patches, which makes the current amplitude distribution comply with Taylor distribution principle; and to the pentagon array, adjusting the widths of the patches also can get the same aim. In E plane, the current distribution is changed by using the transformation section weighted method. The experimental results show that the level of antenna side-lobe is reduced by both methods, satisfying the request of the antenna design.Furthermore, in order to test the designed antennas, the latter part of the article gives the design of the Auto-Measuring System for Antenna to get the amplitude patterns of the tested antennas. Through the principle of antenna measurement, the whole framework of the system is gotten. Then, detailed methods of designing software and hardware are also provided. The hardware design includes three parts: AT89C51 controlling stepping motor, the design of Amplifier for Antenna-Measurement and the realized circuit for data sampling. And the software includes MCS control program, Serial Communication between MCS and control computer, the disposing module for received data. Eventually visual-measurement software is designed. The experimental results show that the system works stably and reliably, satisfying the requirement of antenna automatic measurement.
