Research And Building Of Mobile Learning Platform Based On J2ME

Mobile learning was a method used by e-learning. This method was produced by combining wireless communication measures and mobile computing technologies together. It brought a new measure to the e-learning. It was more important that m-learning had emphasized on study at anytime and anywhere.Based on this advantage, a learner could really control his /her learning progress. M-learning could easily lead e-learning out of university. It also could realize socialization of education and lifetime education .In this paper, we have discussed the definition of m-learning and the reserch fields of m-learning .We introduced mobile computing technologies used by mobile learning .It was also discussed that the ways and methods could used in mobile learning .Many applications were designed based on the model of SMS and WAP. We build iMlearn project in the purpose of the feasibility of intelligence client computing model. We also showed the key technologies in the iMlearn project.We also discussed the disadvantages in the m-learning .M-learning wasn't the only answer of the e-learning .
