Wu Yue's annals has been paid attention to for its producing extensive influence in historyand literature. Its author is zhao ye in han dynasty. The older generation scholars have researchedinto it. Theirs field involved author, edition and values of the literature and history. The opinionsabout author can be divided into five groups. In short, the problem is who is the author on earth,Zhao Ye, Yang Fang or Huangfu Zun. Today it becomes a prevalent view that Huangfu is theauthor in the academic circles. The discussion of the values involved the ownership of types, thatis to say, there are different versions for a long time that it is a history book or a novel.In this text, I try to put forward my own view to the author and the edition according to thedispute of the precedent and opened up the new research field. There are four chapters having anoverall research on Wu Yue's annals.Chapter one trys to verify the relationship of Wu Yue's annals with Zhao Ye, Yang fang orHuangfu, and studies the spread of it. This chapter is divided into two. In section one I appraisesthe points of the precedent through discussion. At section two I try to verify the relation of ZhaoYe and Wu Yue's annals. At last, I think that edition of today is the 12_volume incomplete bookof Zhao Ye's.Chapter two studies the material source of Wu Yue's annals. In this chapter, I strive to makeits accurate location. This chapter is divided into three parts. Section one summarizes the typesownership that the precedent offered. The main difference of the precedent lies in whether itbelongs to history or literature. The group of history is divided into the miscellaneous histories,local chronicle and zaiji. The group of literature is divided into novel and prose. The majority ofthe two groups is that it belongs to history or novel. Section two studies the inclination accordingto the material source. It has four parts. Part one is the part of copying from the history bookstotally. Part two is part of adding new stories on the base of copying from the precedents. Parttree is part of transforming the historical facts. Part four comparing Wu Yue's annals with thebook of remarkable Yue and other books .We can find the writer's intention of writing a novelexceeded a trustworthy historical record. Section three establishes its intergrowth state intransition from history to literature according to criticized the text.
