With the flying development of Internet and incessant appearance of Wide band, more and more users apply the high-speed Wide band, the same with the small office and family using one more PC. The Router is demanded further as the key equipment of web-net.The article is about the SOHO Router with five ports (one WAN, four LANs) based on the core of SANSUM S3C4510B chip and RTL8305SB switch chip with five ports. It's composed mostly by structure design and implements correlative technology of hardware and software system.The structure design in hardware system is mostly made up of two parts. Beginning with the ARM part, in the center of S3C4510B, DRAM and Flash is expanded. Two HY57V641620HGT of 4X1MX16 bits compose the ARM SDRAM, as the internal memory space of the core of embedded operating system and running the programs. Flash, as the storage of image of the OS kernel, is made up of one SST39VF160, 1MX16 bit, either stored the systemic configures and programs.The second is switch part. In the center of the RTL8305SB switch chip with five ports, four 10M/100M LAN and one WAN are offered. MII (Media Independent Interface) is used to communicate with the ARM part.The software structure design in the article is mostly about the uClinux embedded operation system. On the base of that, something is implemented that PPP Broad-Band dial-up, IPTable firewall and Boa web server with dynamic HTML.
