In the modern technique and industry, there exist a lot of complicated shock phenomena. Most of the shocks are harmful in the practice, but if their patterns are recognized, their damage can be reduced or eliminated, and they may even serve people with their features. Moreover, when the features and the patterns of shocks are recognized, better equipment with dynamic characteristics will be designed, suitability and reliability improved.At present the analysis of shock is based on analog monitoring system composed of analog instrument such as FFT analyzer, Amplitude analyzer and so on. The system has the shortcomings as follows: not enough friendly user interface, unitary function, under abundant analytical contents, poor generality, long developing period, high cost and so forth. With the development of computer technology in combination with test technology, virtual instrument has made up the shortage of conventional test instrument Virtual instrument has taken the lead of the profession of instrument."With the use of advanced virtual instrument technology and reasonable selection of hardware such as sensor, signal adjuster and A/D conversion board, a series of software and soft panel are designed in the paper. Furthermore, the strongly functional programming language Lab Windows/CVI is well used. The paper is based on the deep analysis of shock signal analytic technology which is made up of analog instruments. A suit of shock signal virtual instrument has been found with which some shock signals on the omnipotent lab desk in Testing Laboratory have been tested and analyzed. The shock signal of the hook on the carriage has been analyzed, too. It has received satisfying effect The paper has also compared different matching of peak value and put forward some beneficial advices. The paper has brought forward a new reform of shock's duration testing, compare the method with traditional one through reality-simulating test.Thereby the technology of shock test has ascended to measuring system based on virtual instrument from conventional analog one. The paper has successfully completed the design task and the result meets the expectation. The designed virtual instrument of shock has a certain applied value.
