From 1990's, the researching areas in mobile Ad Hoc network now is an independently area from radio communication's. The routing protocol is the basic of the communication between nodes, so it is one of hot researching areas in mobile Ad Hoc network. In this paper, we mainly study the Zone Routing Protocol, and optimize the cache scheme of the ZRP. Through the simulation environment—NS2, we analyze the new caching scheme in radius of the routing zone, normalized overhead, delivery fraction, delay and so on. We prove its superiority through simulation.Firstly, we introducing the characteristic and the future application of mobile Ad Hoc network.Secondly, we classify existing Ad Hoc routing protocol, and then explaining, analyzing and appraising typical protocol of every class in content, specialty.The third character analyze conventional caching scheme, summarize the problems of caching scheme in the ZRP. Such as reactive delete, it cannot delete the message which unused. We give solutions by combine lifetime priority and reactive delete, expecting to improve the performance of routing. Designing the simulation model of ZRP protocol, preparing for the analyzing.We analyze the data which detailed in the chapter 4th. The simulations indicate the new caching scheme is superior to ZRP in normalized overhead, delivery fraction, delay and so on.Finally, we sum up the paper and discuss the future.
