Research And Implementation Of Workflow Exception Handling In Magic Platform

Currently, workflow technology is far more widely applied in E-commerce and E-government. It is the core technology of business processes'modeling, simulation, optimization, and management. The implementation of workflow management technology in enterprises and institutions is very important for China's informationized and standardized managment. During the running of workflow, abnormal operations of workflow processes may arise due to the workflow itself, server error or database misoperation. Therefore, the exception handling in workflow management system is an important component to ensure proper and effective operation of workflow.First,this paper studied the principles of running business processes and activities using workflow engine of Magic Platform, combined with practical problems and workflow exception theoretical research, raises strategy and mechanisms for failture compensation. The algorithm is based on the dynamic implementation of history, generating compensation plan, limiting the compensation range to the lowest possible level within the block structure, and reducing the compensation range effectively.Second, this dissertation designs Exception Handling System, including exception monitor, compensation path generator and compensation path actuator. According to the returned information, the exception monitor monitors the operation of the running process. In case of misoperation, the workflow engine can temporarily stop running the process case, inform the exception handler which correspondingly makes decision and performs the handling strategy and deals with it finally.
