The "Self-Service Plane" system is a kind of wireless communication system, which can transmit video and digital signal. The system can be widely used in many ways such as photography, detection on fire or disaster etc. The whole system has been divided into three blocks: subsystem on the plane, subsystem on the ball and subsystem on the automobile. There are three kinds of signals involved: video, data and instruction, which can be transmitted in the radio frequency. In this paper, the transmitter & receiver and baseband signal process are designed.One of the features in this paper lies in wireless transmitter & receiver block. Many circuits and the structure of the block are made originally, such as frequency synthesizer, mixer, filter, LNA, PA etc. As to the RF frequency synthesizer, a PLL with an embedded EEPROM is designed. The intern EEPROM allows designers to store data permanently and configurate easily. The self-starting frequency synthesizer can decrease the circuit area, complexity and cost. Before the real circuits are worked out, the modulation is made in ADS at first. Finally, the RF & IF frequency synthesizer, RF & IF mixer, RF & IF filter, and PA were realized.The other feature is applying FPGA to process baseband digital signal. FPGA is the most promising technique of processing baseband signal. In this paper, coding, decoding, modulation and demodulation are designed in detail including Hamming code, interlace code, Barker code and M sequence, frame recognizer, DPLL, DPSK and choice of timing sequence, etc. The software simulation results and the real waves are both showed.In the end, the conclusion is made, and the future application is prospected.
