New type radar of aerial series developed by Chinese Electron Scientific and Technological Company 38th Institute adopted the design plain of level array aerial which is layered by digital array unit (DAU). The application characteristic of this kind of aerial, made the structure designer guaranteed the array aerial level degree after the assembling. As to this, the analysis of all factors and their coupling relationships is necessary. Considering the final cost, the adoption of fitting allowable error is necessary too.For overcoming the predicament that geometrical error analysis model can not be established reasonably and multi-work-condition reliability design based on weight factor of work condition is difficult to use among actual project, considered the miscellaneous operation and calculation caused by different structure parameter, assemble the series and a large amount of different operating modes in the actual project gives full play to the strong function of computer simulation on the basis of the concept of general CAD, according to the basic model, structure parameter and the tolerance information of the products, utilizes software to carry on virtual model construct and virtual assembly, analyze displacement and stress using finite element method at the same time, achieve virtual prototype, presents designer some ocular analysis results finally, thus enable the designer to confirm whether this scheme is rational fast. At the same time, based on the theory and method of optimization, considered the design requirements, utilized above conclusion, the structure parameter of the minimal cost would be presented.With the Visual C++ language and the ADO, MS-chart technology, making use of mathematical representation of planar surface based on variation of DOF, this paper developed specific program module according to the tolerance design of the Radar Array Antenna, and described the direct graphics result.It is useful to apply CAT technology for Modularized Radar Array Antenna, which developed a new thought in the tolerance analysis of Multi-boxed assembly and changed the condition of applying the analogy and chart to design. Using this soft to design, it is not only to analysis quickly, but also to increase the reliability and reduce the manufacture cost.
