Information model in virtual assembly is an important part of information model of a product. It supports the product from preliminary design to part design, and concurrent design and provides the information source for succedent assembly automation and assembly process planning. At the same time, the design is analyzed and evaluated. Accordingly, it is able to reduce period of developing product. It has extensive foreground in the field of CAD/CAM/CAPP. To explore the way to express the procedure of product assemblage in digital, the background knowledge, the content, the status quo were introduced; Relational theory and implemented means were studied in detail; Using CAA which is a secondary development platform of CATIA and C++ language, according to digital model of the aircraft structure, information model of aircraft structure in virtual assembly was established in batch program (background) and interaction (proscenium) basic on CATIA environment. For example, the name of any product each layer, the type, the mass, the gravity center, the volume, the material of part, the number of the same product, the matrix of space transformation, the constraint and the sporting mechanism were obtained by batch program and interaction. This information model was fit for aircraft structure assemblage. So batch program and interaction were proved to be effective.
