With the development of information technology, People communicate with each other more and more by digital and network. So the security of network communication is more and more important. Every message must be transmitted safely and not be stole and juggled by the third party, which is concerned by network communication. To solution this problem, secure communication can be used. Secure communication is to communicate by the encrypted information in order to make the information unseen by the third party. Secure communication is one of the most important ways to keep the safety of communication, and encryption is used widely in secure communication. Digital Signal Processor (DSP) is a microprocessor which is very suitable for the digital signal processing. So it is more efficent to achieve the encryption of communication by DSP.During the analyzing the characters of DSP chip and DSP systems, the paper introduces a universal encryption system based on the secure of network communication. The system's key processor is TMS320C6205, which belongs to TMS320C6X's family. A general data encryption card based on PCI interface is designed and realized. Encryption card can not only encrypt message in order to transmit the ciphertexts but also provide identity authentication in order to ensure that communication is believable including signature and certification, and provide data integrity in order to ensure that message is not be juggled, and provide nonrepudiation in order to prevent sender and receiver from denying what he or she do.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the concept of information security. Chapter two introduces the design of PCI device driver program of TMS320C6205, including the concept of WDM, the interface of PCI and the detailed realize of WDM driver program. Chapter three introduces thedesign of hardware circuit, including the interface design of DSP and PGI FLASH, SBSRAM CPLD and so on. Chapter four introduces the design of DSP software, including the introduction of CCS , algorithm(DES RSA MD5) and the bootloader and program burning of DSP. The last chapter is a summary, pointing out the work this paper do and what encryption card needs to be perfected.
