This thesis is based on the work in comprehensive score disposal system for the 7th National University Students Sports Meeting project by the author. The author took in charge of the requirement capture, analysis and design of this project, also the author did a lot of work in coding, testing and deployment of this project. After nine months' hard working, during August, 2004 to September, 2004, when the national university students sports meeting was on, this score system served the sports meeting perfectly and it is highly appraised by sports meeting participants and the media.In the recent twenty years, sports meeting information system has developed rapidly. Now it is providing good services for every kind of sporting meetings, and it has become an import part of the whole sports meeting. Yet when all these systems come in front of the complicated requirements emerging from sports meeting, they are far from good enough.Sports meeting information system is distributed in their deployment locations. How to perform data integration in such a distributed environment is an important problem. To solve this issue the author take Web Services as the core technique in the design of this system. It's a pioneering work in sports meeting information system; also it achieved the data integration in an effective way.In the play ground, there are also kinds of heterogeneous data sources and legacy systems. The author introduces a novelway to perform heterogeneous data integration by using data integration middleware. This method was proved to be effective and efficient in application.The author brings forward N-Tier B/S architecture in the design of this system to make the system more flexible. Furthermore the author applies design pattern and refactoring to make the design more scalable and reusable.The system implementation is also introduced in this thesis. The project adopts Microsoft .NET as the develop platform and VB .NET, ASP .NET, ADO .NET as develop tools. The author explains the system framework and specific system design explicitly. Also the author elaborates all key techniques and solution relevant to the project. All of the above is based upon the author's work on this sports meeting score system.
