Research And Application Of OPC In Configuration Software

OPC applies OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) technology into Industry Process Control Fields, and provides a kind of standard data access method. The paper researches and implements OPC DA server and client, and applies OPC technology into the design and development process of Industry Control Configuration Software. The moditoring system runs normally in factory and makes good result.The paper studies deeply OPC DA specification, designs and develops OPC server and client based on COM technology, provides main methods to implement it. Futher more, the paper goes deep into the installation and register of OPC server, the aggregation of internal objects, and the process of data access. Besides, the paper analyses characteristic of new OPC technology based on OPC XML-DA specification and Web Services.The paper applies OPC technology to the development and design process of Industry Control Configuration Software, and optimizes it in many aspects, which are listed as followings: open interface model and interface functions of Configuration Software as OPC server are implemented, and it helps to achieve data exchange and seamless integration among industry control softwares; Dual-server Hot-standby system which transfers data by OPC technology is completed, which improves the work efficiency in backuping data; OPC server based DUT5000 device is developed by OPC server toolkit, which makes the connection between EPA device and HMI software.OPC technology is applied widely, and as a data exchange technology with universal standard, OPC technology brings enormous effects to the development of software and hardware in industry control fields.
