Mobile value-added service, which is now developing rapidly, is another kind of service besides basic voice service on mobile communication network. In order to effectively manage and develop the mobile value-added service, there must be an excellent method of management. This research focuses on how to establish an open, equal and powerful software platform to manage it. Based on summarizing series of relating platforms, this research presents a platform to manage mobile value-added service, named MVSMP (Mobile Value-added Service Multi-management Platform). In the research, a constructing method of multi-layer software architecture based on distributed component technology is presented. The method proposes to adopt a software model of multi-layer architecture so as to solve the problems about complexity in the design of the system, and use component as core technology in order to deal with the problems about flexibility, diversity and configuration of the platform. By means of applying component technology in multi-layer architecture, this method separates and encapsulates the total functions, solves the problems about on-line updating and dynamic modifications along with the change of user requirement, and finally simplifies the design of the system. For the management of access control, by applying the technology of role based access control, a role-based access control model of component-level is put forward. For data storage model, a blending data model based on "Relational data model and Light Directory Access Protocol model" is presented by comparing other storage models. In this model, some data changed frequently are stored in the relational database, while others are stored in the directory database in which the reading operation is optimized. Interface design of the system determines how it correctly and quickly communicates with other systems related to it. Based on analyzing series of communication protocols, a blending method, which assures the diversity of interface among different systems and enhances the usability of this platform, is presented.Along with the increase of mobile users and service, this platform will be burdened day by day. Therefore the problems emerging later are its extensibility and maintenance. Only by solving these problems can the mobile value-added service be provided to all users as much as possible.
