Study On The Characteristic And Location Of Newspaper Comment Column

News comment is one of the four elementary factors of journalism, and plays an important role in the mass media. As a specific expression of comment, comment column has a long history. After China's reformation and opening, the social life has changed rapidly. More and more attention has been paid to expressing the common people's voices, and the comment column with wide participation begins to flourish. Comment is an important expression of news comment entering common people's life from strictly politic life.As an important factor of media, the comment column has a vital position. Studying corresponding comment column, we can know common people's despondences and review to some phenomena in a specific history time and what common people are interested in. This thesis combines the news comment and newspaper column, and investigates the existing conditions of news comment to reveal the characteristic, the cause of flourishing, significance and the tendency of the comment column, and how to develop and locate the comment column and news comment. The thesis is based on collected articles about the comment column, considering the detailed investigation to those famous comment columns, "People's Tribune", "Jin Ri Tan","Qiu Shi Pian""San Chu Fang Tan""Yang Liu Qing"in 2002, and tries to give an approximate conception about the comment column.This thesis is organized as follows. The first section presents a general summary of the comment column, and the definition and classification.Section 2 talks over the flourish of newspaper comment column, in addition with the cause and the significance of it.In Section 3, the analysis of the characteristic, and some advices about how to design a good the comment column is given.Section 4, as the most important part of this thesis, addresses the popularization of the comment column, by investigating some typical comment columns such "San Chu Fang Tan", and illustrates popularization is the important characteristic of the comment column and also the tendency of it. The fifth section, gives some advice about how to develop the comment column and some deficiencies and existing problem of it. Finally there is a brief conclusion.
