System integration is one of tendencies of E-Government systems. While, Data integration is the basis and key of E-Government system integration. It plays an important role in promoting the standardization of E-Government systems and implementation of cooperative working. The majority of this paper is about modeling and implementation of data integration system in E-Government applications. Furthermore, a real-time database integration solution is given in this paper.Schema integration method, which has no data replication, is firstly used in data integration. By using global data schema, multi-database nodes are mapped into one virtual database in this method. To improve the efficiency of query processing, data replication method is used in some data integration systems. Recently, P2P data integration method has been popular in building loose-couple integration systems. Referring to web services technology and grid computing related theories, a P2P data integration model based on web services technology was presented in this paper. Data exchange center was used to manage shared schemas of the nodes and to coordinate data exchange process among these nodes. In this way, a loose-couple data integration system was built. We also studied many problems on data integration for E-Government applications, such as, relational data model based on XML, XML data schema transforming, distributed transaction processing based on web services. In this paper, an XML relational data model suitable for data transforming is presented. An XML-XML and XML-DBMS data transforming designer is also introduced. Besides these, we analyzed the Business Transaction Protocol(BTP) and characteristics of web services transactions, and presented a distributed transaction processing model based on BTP. Using this model, we provided solutions to 3 typical transactions in data integration system. In the last part of this paper, considering characteristics of distributed real-time database systems and real-time requirements of these systems, we built a data integration platform for real-time database systems using global data schemas.
