In numerous computer applications, there is an important one called database application. It deals with and storages a mass of data that can be shared in other applications. At the same time large numbers of thermalphysical parameters and functions are utilized in the procedure of thermal production, operate and test. Therefore combining heat energy speciality and the technology of the database has already become an inevitable trend of professional development of heat energy.This text discusses mainly how to set up the thermalphysical parameter database and thermalphysical function information database, and develop the relevant inquiry procedure. The main work includes the design of the data schema of thermalphysical parameters and function information, and offer enough space for perfection and expansion for the future. In order to meeting the request of some applications, various kinds of inquiry procedures have been developed with the database. They can be divided into two kinds: interface inquiry procedures and non-interface ones. The interface inquiry procedures offer inquiry that include the name of materials, the sign of thermalphysical parameters and the information of thermalphysical functions by friendship interface, etc. And the non-interface ones are mainly applied in the code worked out. According to the characteristic of thermal calculation, this paper introduces various kinds of interfaces, some optimization measures in the inquiry procedures and in the interface procedures.In the end, this paper shows the utilization of various kinds of inquiry function in detail by the thermal performance calculation of HPH.Access database, VC and ADO are mainly used to design the application in the paper and meanwhile the correlative drawing tools and programming software are used as the assistant tools.
