The Development And Application Of Web-Based High-school Administrative Management Information System

The reform of high school administrative management methods is an important procedure in the process of educational reform, and it plays a critical role for facilitating the educational reform. This thesis discusses the design, development and application of the Web-Based High-school Administrative Management Information System (AMIS), illuminates its active role in deepening educational reform and increasing the managers' working efficiency, and proposes some problems that should be paid attention to during the actual application of the AMIS. So this thesis has laid a substantial basis for the development and application of the Web-based AMIS theoretically and practically.In common sense, the Web-based AMIS is the application of MIS in high school administration management field. Its focus is administrative management, including files management, meetings management, regulations management, mobile information management, department affairs management, heads time-table management, personal office management; cars and meals management, documents management, people/security management. Through the Web-based AMIS, school heads, office working people, department working people, administrative people in colleges and departments can carry out their jobs at anytime and anywhere. So it can assure the effective and safe running of high-school administrative management work, and changes the traditional administrative management methods.The characteristics of Web-based AMIS are: (1) contain every element in the progress of high school office administrative management; (2) have flexible openness; (3) the management is not limited by time and space;(4)gathering, applying, sharing and using information, conducting effective management; (5)realizing perfect safety and authority system; (6)applying the modernization of administrative management work. The Web-based AMIS has distinct era meaning, can meet the demand of the changes of working style in the information age, can modernize the school administration, help the leaders to make right decisions.The Web-based AMIS is based on the gradual perfection of the network system the campus and network structure. It adopts reasonable database management system(usually adopt related database management system) and the system of management software popular established by popular B/S network calculation mode.The development process of the Web-based AMIS is a systematic design and develop process, so it must follow the general principle and regulation of the development of software, and notice the unique characteristics of the school administrative management system. The design of the Web-based AMIS usually includes: (1)development preparation for the system (building development group, assessing viability, establishing development plan); (2) requirement analysis of system (researching before development of system, describing the requirement of system) (3)the design of network and hardware; (4)the structure design of the system;(5)the function design of the system; (6)the security design of the system. During the stage of preparation and the research before the development of software, the designer undertakes heavy workload because of the various departments in school and the relative independence of them. In order to facilitate the manager to use, the design of the Web-Based EMIS would better be consistent with the management function of functional departments in school. In the progress of designing the script of system, storage structure, data structure of system, interface structure and flow chart of the software should be designed according to the rule of operating program smoothly, and stably.The later test and modification in the progress of developing Web-Based AMIS is also an important procedure. System test is a complete examination process in which ascertains how much the primary software is consistent with the software system design and script design.
