The mastery of information is an important feature of modern warfare. And the distributed multisensor fusion system (DMFS) is a key factor to achieve such abilities. Presently, simulation technology is widely applied in the design, establishment and evaluation of DMFS, which has received much attention in the community of distributed system simulation (DSS).This paper focuses on the architecture design of the distributed multisensor simulation system and the load-balancing problem in the implement of such system. Firstly, the distributed system and simulation concept are introduced. According to the research background, research aims and state of art of multisensor simulation system, several characteristics of modern multisensor simulation system are presented. Secondly, the architecture of distributed multisensor simulation system is presented and analyzed. Based on the research aims, a modern radar network simulation system is designed with the application of federate simulation, time management, model design and data consistency. Subsequently, RTI performance is demonstrated in this paper. Finally, the issue of load balancing in mulitisensor simulation system is discussed in terms of PADS' (Parallel and Distributed Simulation) method. Load is distributed following the Least-Cost rules. According to the characteristic of HLA simulation system, a load-balancing system is implemented for load migration.
