Development Of Management System Of Computer Hardware Resource In LAN

With the wide application of computer, many units have their LAN, and effective management and usage of computer hardware resource become an important task. At the same time, the technology of computer develops rapidly and more and more computer hardware resources are used. Thus, it is important to develop the Management system of computer hardware resource based on local area network.First, the background, situation and the trend of the Management system of computer hardware resource are analyzed combined with the alteration of the computer room in Engineering Design Center of Sichuan University ; and element and feature are pointed out. The running environment of the computer room in Engineering Design Center of Sichuan University and the trend of development of similar system are analyzed. On the analysis basis of requirement, the database is designed , forms and fields are defined; a management system is proposed which consist of the quota management of disk, the service management of print, the entrance guard system management of computer and the finance management. Next, the relation of each part is defined and project is adopted. For the entrance guard system management of computer, the project of software control is adopted; for the quota management of disk, the project that is developed on the disk quota and active and directory is adopted; for service management of print ,the project to calculate the charge online is adopted; for finance management, the project that Stat. is done according to each module. The function of each part and flow are also analyzed, the module is built. Finally, by the use of LAN, the module of C/S and object-oriented design methods are adopted and Delphi7.0 and SQL Server 2000 are applied. The management system of computer hardware resource is developed.The quota management of disk, the service management of print, the entranceguard system management of computer and the finance management are integrated. For the entrance guard system management of computer, the students can use computer without IC card and are charged exactly; for the quota management of disk, the students can leave the file on the server; for the service management of print, the calculation of charge can be done online; for the finance management, it realizes the management of accounts, Stat. of finance and output of reports.
